Make an LGRS grid with lgrs

Step 1: Enter the bounds for the grid.

The bounds may be expressed in degrees longitude and latitude or in meters easting and northing, depending on how you specify the CRS. The default CRS (IAU_2015:30100) uses degrees longitude and latitude.

Specify the coordinate reference system (CRS) by a hint. For example, "S" indicates the south Lunar Polar Stereographic CRS and "23N" indicates the Northern Hemisphere Lunar Transverse Mercator zone 23 CRS. You may also specify a code like "IAU_2015:30100" or "ESRI:104903". (Do not include quotation marks in your entry.)

Step 2: Enter the precision, in meters.

This is the same as the side length of each grid box. Supported precisions are 25 km, 1 km, 100 m, 10 m, and 1 m. If you specify an unsupported precision >1 m, it will be rounded down to the closest (finer) precision that is supported. A value <1 m produces an error.

Step 3: Choose the output format.

All files will be combined into a single .zip file, which is automatically downloaded.

Step 4: Modify advanced options. (optional)

"ACC" uses Artemis Condensed Coordinates rather than the standard LGRS; the box geometry is identical but the field data differ. "Extended LTM" extends the Lunar Transverse Mercator (LTM) zones to 82° N/S instead of 80° N/S. "Minimize overlap" (the default) limits overlap between boxes to the areas near LPS and LTM zone boundaries, where overlap is needed for coverage; unchecked, all valid boxes in the area are generated, which can overlap between zones by up to about 35 km. "Minimize zones" uses as few zones (and therefore CRSs) as possible, even if that requires boxes from the expanded area of a zone.
