\# pybuild-x 🚀

\*\*pybuild-x\*\* is a lightweight CLI utility designed to eliminate the repetitive boilerplate of creating and publishing Python packages. In a single command, it sets up your project structure, generates a professional `README.md` using Gemini AI, compiles the build artifacts, and uploads everything straight to PyPI.

> ⚡ \*This package was built and published to PyPI using `pybuild-x` itself. No code was harmed during this recursion.\*

\---

\## 📦 Features

\* \*\*Instant Packaging:\*\* Automatically turns a single `.py` file into a full PEP-compliant package structure (`setup.py`, `\_\_init\_\_.py`, `dist/`).

\* \*\*AI-Powered Documentation:\*\* Uses Gemini API (`gemini-2.5-flash`) to draft clean Markdown documentation based on a short description.

\* \*\*Auto-Toolchain Setup:\*\* Automatically checks for and installs missing dependencies (`build`, `twine`, `setuptools`).

\* \*\*One-Click PyPI Upload:\*\* Compiles wheels/tarballs and pushes them to PyPI seamlessly with `--autoupload`.

\* \*\*Smart Fallback:\*\* Uses local `README-<name>.md` if no AI prompt is passed.

\## ⚙️ Installation \& Requirements

Set your Gemini API key in your terminal environment before running:

```powershell
$env:gemini\_api\_key = "key"
\# 🚀 Usage
1\. Basic Package Generation
Creates the package folder, setup.py, and README.md locally without publishing:
```Bash

python pybuild\_x.py -f "path/to/script.py" -d "A neat script for automation"

```
2\. Full Automation \& PyPI Upload
Generates everything and automatically publishes to PyPI:
```Bash

python pybuild\_x.py -f "path/to/script.py" -d "A neat script for automation" --autoupload

```
3\. Specify Custom Version
Sets a custom version for setup.py (default is 0.1.0):
Bash
python pybuild\_x.py -f "path/to/script.py" -v "1.0.0" --autoupload
