This file lists the third-party material that the repository contains or depends
on, and the license each is under. Every license grant below is quoted from the
upstream file or terms page named beside it, read on 2026-09-20, and the first entry
re-checked on 2026-09-21. Where no license or terms of use could be found, the entry
says so and asserts nothing.

The o200k_base encoding file -- NOT contained here, fetched after installation
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
File: src/poisson_tasks/data/o200k_base.tiktoken (3,613,922 bytes)
Status: NOT in this repository, NOT in the sdist and NOT in the wheel. It is
git-ignored and excluded from both build targets. It is fetched once, after
installation, by `python -m poisson_tasks.fetch_encoding`, which reads the
URL and the expected digest out of the installed tiktoken and downloads
through tiktoken's own reader. Nothing is redistributed here.
What: The byte-pair-encoding merge ranks of the o200k_base encoding, in tiktoken's
file format. The reference tokenizer reads the fetched copy, so that it never
reaches the network and leaves no byte in any cache directory.
Source: https://openaipublic.blob.core.windows.net/encodings/o200k_base.tiktoken
This is the URL that tiktoken 0.14.0 uses for the encoding
           (tiktoken_ext/openai_public.py, function o200k_base). A HEAD request on
2026-09-21 returned HTTP 200 and a Content-Length equal to the size above.
Integrity: sha256 446a9538cb6c348e3516120d7c08b09f57c36495e2acfffe59a5bf8b0cfb1a2d,
equal to the expected_hash that tiktoken 0.14.0 pins for it. The fetch
refuses any other digest, and src/poisson_tasks/tokenizer.py refuses to load
           a file whose digest differs.
License: NONE FOUND, re-checked on 2026-09-21 and recorded below. The terms under
which this file may be redistributed could not be established, so it is no
longer copied into this repository. This NOTICE asserts no terms for it.

What was checked, and what each showed:

           * The tiktoken 0.14.0 distribution ships one license file, its own MIT
License (quoted in section 2). That is the license of the tiktoken
software. The distribution contains no encoding data at all -- no
.tiktoken file appears in its RECORD -- so the MIT grant has no encoding
             file to cover.
           * The openai/tiktoken source tree (read 2026-09-21) contains no encoding
data either, and its only license statement outside the LICENSE file is
             pyproject.toml's `license = { file = "LICENSE" }`. Nothing in the tree
says anything about the hosted files.
           * The source URL returns the file with no license header and no link to
             terms of use.
           * The blob container that serves it holds exactly five files: the four
encodings and a 92-byte README.md, whose whole text is "# Vocabularies for
             encodings / See https://github.com/openai/tiktoken / Have a wonderful
day!". It points at the repository; it grants nothing, and the repository
it points at does not contain the file.

A pointer from the data to a repository whose license covers that
repository's software is not a license for the data. Reading it as one would
be a guess, and this file does not make it. The four points above were
           checked on 2026-09-21.

Code copied from tiktoken
-------------------------
File: src/poisson_tasks/tokenizer.py
What: The pre-tokenization regular expression (_PAT_STR) and the two special-token
ids (_SPECIAL_TOKENS) are copied from the o200k_base definition in tiktoken
           0.14.0 (tiktoken_ext/openai_public.py), reflowed to this repository's line
length. The module's own comments mark these two as the copied parts.
License: tiktoken's MIT License, quoted in section 2.

The vocabulary table
--------------------
File: src/poisson_tasks/data/vocabulary-v2.json
What: Written for this repository and released under its MIT License. No
third-party word list, corpus or dataset is recorded as a source for it.
Its two 256-word record-id lists are common English words chosen so that each
is a single o200k_base token inside a record id.
Checked: On 2026-09-21 the two lists were tested against six public word lists --
google-10000-english and its no-swears variant, that project's 20k list, the
EFF large wordlist, dwyl/english-words (words_alpha, 370,105 words) and macOS
/usr/share/dict/words (web2). None of the six produces the 512 words under
this table's own selection rule, and two of them cannot even contain them:
fourteen of the 512 are absent from the 10,000-word list and three are absent
from the 20,000-word one. What the 512 are drawn from is the o200k_base
vocabulary under this table's single-token rule, which no English word list
satisfies. That no public list was ever consulted is not a thing this check
can establish, and this NOTICE does not claim it: it claims only that none is
recorded as a source and that none of the obvious candidates can be one. The
check was made on 2026-09-21 and is not part of this repository.

The Qwen3-8B chat template -- a test fixture
-------------------------------------------
File: tests/fixtures/qwen3-8b-chat-template.json
What: The chat template of Qwen/Qwen3-8B at revision
b968826d9c46dd6066d109eabc6255188de91218, copied unmodified out of that
           revision's tokenizer_config.json (sha256 d5d09f07b48c3086c508b30d1c9114bd
1189145b74e982a265350c923acd8101), with its source and its sha256 beside it.
tests/test_cal_qwen_prep.py renders it to check the thinking-off template that
poisson_tasks.calibration_run derives from it at run time. The package ships no
part of it; the derivation replaces one line that the module names.

The Swagger Petstore OpenAPI document -- a test fixture
-------------------------------------------------------
File: tests/fixtures/o1/petstore-openapi-3.0.json (17,106 bytes)
What: The OpenAPI 3.0.4 document of the Swagger Petstore sample API, version 1.0.27,
copied unmodified as served on 2026-10-06 (sha256 00441c05add60f28da55eb4563d3fb6
bbda364ba8eb7b381e2e2c98613005c82). tests/test_o1_formats.py reads it into the
own-tools normal form as a real OpenAPI document; the package ships no part of it.

The MCP Everything reference server's tools/list -- a test fixture
------------------------------------------------------------------
File: tests/fixtures/o1/mcp-everything-tools-list.json (9,907 bytes)
What: The `tools/list` result of @modelcontextprotocol/server-everything (npm package
version 2026.8.31; the server names itself "mcp-servers/everything" 2.0.0),
recorded once on 2026-10-06 from the server started over stdio and asked only to
           list its tools (sha256 97068e1c2ec7d0a85d1302d66e17617f26c076a984d5e09568a310a59
           279eed4). tests/test_o1_pending_everything_fixture.py reads it into the own-tools
normal form as a real MCP tool list; the package ships no part of it.
Source: https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/servers (src/everything), through the npm
           package named above.
License: MIT License or Apache License 2.0, per that repository's LICENSE file (read
2026-10-06), which says the project is moving from MIT to Apache-2.0 and that
contributions whose authors have not consented remain MIT. Both grant
redistribution with attribution; the file is attributed here under both.

Model weights and datasets
--------------------------
None are contained in this repository. Two things fetch them at run time, on the
runtime that serves the model and never into this repository: the calibration notebook
(notebooks/calibration_model_b.ipynb), whose vLLM server downloads Qwen/Qwen3-8B's
weights at the pinned revision from the Hugging Face Hub (Apache-2.0, as above), and
`python -m poisson_tasks.calibration_run serve`, which reads that revision's
tokenizer_config.json for its chat template. Elsewhere, model names appear in the tests
only as strings, for example as a revision-string format and as tool-call marker names.
