EMsoft
------
The physics of the master-pattern simulation is ported from EMsoft
(https://github.com/EMsoft-org/EMsoftOO; Callahan and De Graef, Modelling Simul.
Mater. Sci. Eng. 21, 015003, 2013, and the EMsoft source by Marc De Graef and
contributors). Specifically:

  core/constants.py physical constants (mod_global.f90)
  crystal/data/scattering_tables.py Weickenmeier-Kohl and Doyle-Turner
                                         coefficient tables, extracted from the
                                         Fortran source (mod_others.f90,
                                         mod_diffraction.f90)
  crystal/scattering.py FSCATT / WKscatter
  crystal/structure_factors.py CalcUcg
  crystal/lattice.py crystallographic structure matrices
  diffraction/reflections.py Initialize_ReflectionList, CalcsgDouble,
                                         Apply_BethePotentials
  diffraction/bethe.py Apply_BethePotentials
  diffraction/backends.py GetDynMat, CalcLgh, preCalcSgh
  diffraction/kvectors.py Calckvectors
  sim/montecarlo/transport.py the EMMC.cl scattering model
sim/montecarlo/depth.py reader of EMsoft Monte Carlo HDF5 files

EMsoft is distributed under its own license, which applies to the parts of it
reproduced above; see the license file in the EMsoft repository. EMsoft output is
used only as a validation reference, and de-ebsd does not call EMsoft at runtime.

kikuchipy and orix
------------------
The detector geometry (sim/detector.py, core/geometry.py), the square-Lambert
conventions (core/lambert.py) and the master-pattern interpolation follow
kikuchipy (https://github.com/pyxem/kikuchipy, GPL-3.0-or-later) so that patterns
agree with it pixel for pixel. Orientations, symmetry and crystal maps are orix's
(https://github.com/pyxem/orix).

EMSphInx
--------
The spherical-harmonic and SO(3) cross-correlation indexer follows Lenthe, Singh
and De Graef, "A spherical harmonic transform approach to the indexing of
electron back-scattered diffraction patterns", Ultramicroscopy 207, 112841
(2019).
