The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 11:23:09 UT on 23 May 2023, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 230523A (trigger 706533794.188064 / 230523474).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 129.4, Dec = 29.0 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 08h 37m, 29d 00'), with a statistical uncertainty of 3.7 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 43.0 degrees.
