The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 19:33:07 UT on 26 Feb 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240226A (trigger 730668792.323378 / 240226815).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 289.1, Dec = -43.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 19h 16m, -43d 06'), with a statistical uncertainty of 9.0 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 30.0 degrees.
