The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 05:40:04 UT on 26 Feb 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240226B (trigger 730618809.579832 / 240226236).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 353.7, Dec = -24.4 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 23h 34m, -24d 23'), with a statistical uncertainty of 5.4 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 100.0 degrees.
