The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 09:43:55 UT on 17 Mar 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240317A (trigger 732361440.302272 / 240317405).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 223.9, Dec = 19.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 14h 55m, 19d 06'), with a statistical uncertainty of 4.5 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 75.0 degrees.
