The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

At 15:04:28 UT on 29 Apr 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240429A (trigger 736095873.926064 / 240429628).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 13.7, Dec = 18.5 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 00h 54m, 18d 30'), with a statistical uncertainty of 8.9 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 83.0 degrees.
