The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 22:24:12 UT on 5 Jul 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240705A (trigger 741911057.265314 / 240705933).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 12.6, Dec = -76.4 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 00h 50m, -76d 24'), with a statistical uncertainty of 1.0 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 168.0 degrees.
