The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 20:16:55 UT on 17 Nov 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241117B (trigger 753567420.985494 / 241117845).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 323.5, Dec = 23.5 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 21h 33m, 23d 30'), with a statistical uncertainty of 1.7 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 65.0 degrees.
