The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

At 05:35:44 UT on 9 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241209A (trigger 755415349.162358 / 241209233).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 155.1, Dec = 10.2 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 10h 20m, 10d 11'), with a statistical uncertainty of 12.8 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 77.0 degrees.
