angle_line_plane — 3D geometry op

• Data kinds: primitive → measurement

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.angle_line_plane(d, n) (to call the implementation directly, import match3d; match3d.angle_line_plane(d, n); from the registry, ops3d.get("angle_line_plane"))

Usage

The angle between a line (direction d) and a plane (normal n), in degrees.

Returns 90 − arccos(|d̂·n̂|) in degrees (float). The value is in [0, 90]; 0 = the line is parallel to the plane, 90 = perpendicular. d, n are numeric 2- or 3-vectors (length does not matter); mixed dimensions raise ValueError. A zero vector returns 0.

Uses: perpendicularity of a hole axis to a datum plane, the parallel check before intersect_line_plane (near 0 the intersection flies far away).
