geometry op• Data kinds: points → primitive
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.line_from_2points(a, b) (to call the implementation directly, import match3d; match3d.line_from_2points(a, b); from the registry, ops3d.get("line_from_2points"))
Two points → a line (a point on it and a unit direction). Two coordinates fix the line (2-D and 3-D alike).
Returns (a, u): a is input point 1 (float array), u = (b − a)/|b − a|. The arguments are numeric 2- or 3-vectors (anything else, or mixed dimensions, raises ValueError). When a == b the direction is returned as the zero vector (no exception; check |u| > 0 on the caller side). The coordinate order does not matter (it is returned in the input order), so (x,y,z) or (z,y,x) is fine as long as it is consistent.
Downstream: pass this (a, u) to distance_point_line / distance_line_line / intersect_line_plane / angle_between_lines. To get a line from a point cloud, use fit_line_3d.
