robust_fit op• Data kinds: points → primitive
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.ransac_plane(points, thresh, iters=500, seed=0) (to call the implementation directly, import ransac_fit; ransac_fit.ransac_plane(points, thresh, iters=500, seed=0); from the registry, ops3d.get("ransac_plane"))
Outlier-robust RANSAC plane fitting.
Sample 3 points → plane normal (cross product of 2 edges) → maximise the inliers with point-plane distance |n·(p-p0)| < thresh → least-squares refit on the final inliers (normal = minor principal axis of the covariance).
Args:
points: (N,3) point cloud.
thresh: point-plane distance threshold for counting as an inlier.
iters: number of RANSAC iterations.
seed: random seed (deterministic).
Returns:
(params, inlier_mask, info). params = {"normal": (3,), "d": float, "point": (3,)}
and the plane is normal·x + d = 0. inlier_mask=(N,) bool.
