robust_fit op• Data kinds: points → primitive
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.ransac_sphere(points, thresh, iters=500, seed=0) (to call the implementation directly, import ransac_fit; ransac_fit.ransac_sphere(points, thresh, iters=500, seed=0); from the registry, ops3d.get("ransac_sphere"))
Outlier-robust RANSAC sphere fitting.
Sample 4 points → sphere centre and radius by the linear method (algebraic fit) → maximise the inliers with |‖p-c‖ - r| < thresh → least-squares refit on the final inliers. For pipe balls / spherical-surface measurement.
Args:
points: (N,3) point cloud.
thresh: threshold on |distance-r| for counting as an inlier.
iters: number of RANSAC iterations.
seed: random seed (deterministic).
Returns:
(params, inlier_mask, info). params = {"center": (3,), "radius": float}.
