medial op• Data kinds: voxel → voxel
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.vol_nearest_label(vol_labels, spacing=None) (to call the implementation directly, import volops; volops.vol_nearest_label(vol_labels, spacing=None); from the registry, ops3d.get("vol_nearest_label"))
Label volume (D, H, W) in which each zero voxel is given the nearest non-zero label (Voronoi partition of the labels, voxel).
The input is integer labels (output of vol_label / vol_rle_components, 0 = unassigned). Each 0 voxel receives, by physical distance (spacing), the label of the nearest non-zero voxel; non-zero voxels stay as they are. Used to cut out "the volume that branch governs" from EM segmentation fragments or skeleton branch labels (per-branch volume and wall thickness). Non-integer labels are rejected (not rounded into another label); if not even 1 non-zero voxel exists, ValueError. Returns int64.
>>> L = np.zeros((1, 1, 7)); L[0, 0, 0] = 1; L[0, 0, 6] = 2
>>> vol_nearest_label(L)[0, 0].tolist()
