annotate_figure_grid — ANNOTATE paper op

• Data kinds: images → image2d

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.annotate_figure_grid(panels, captions=None, ncols=2, pad=10, caption_h=32, letters=True, letter_style='paren', title=None, font_size=14, min_font_size=9, background=1.0, border=1, border_color='neutral', text_color=None, scheme='okabe_ito', font_path=None) (to call the implementation directly, import annotate; annotate.annotate_figure_grid(panels, captions=None, ncols=2, pad=10, caption_h=32, letters=True, letter_style='paren', title=None, font_size=14, min_font_size=9, background=1.0, border=1, border_color='neutral', text_color=None, scheme='okabe_ito', font_path=None); from the registry, opsannotate.get("annotate_figure_grid"))

Usage

Returns an image (image2d): images plus captions laid out as one figure (constant margins, panel letters).

Captions are "(a) caption" (letters=True). A white background (background=1.0) is the default, so the text automatically becomes dark (the contrast rule of text_box). The geometry is from annotate_figure_grid_layout (title_h when title is given is determined by the same formula from measure_text).

Raises

ValueError

panels is empty, captions count mismatch, a caption does not fit in its strip, or more than 26 panels.
