• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.blob_label(region: 'Any', connectivity: 'int' = 8) -> 'np.ndarray' (to call the implementation directly, import blob2d; blob2d.blob_label(region: 'Any', connectivity: 'int' = 8) -> 'np.ndarray'; from the registry, opsblob.get("blob_label"))
Splits a binary region into connected components and returns an int32 label image (background 0, objects 1..n).
region : array_like
2-D. > 0 is foreground (bool or real both fine; NaN is background).
connectivity : {4, 8}
Whether 2 pixels touching diagonally are connected. The default 8 matches the defaults of ndimage.label and
HALCON connection. With 4, blobs touching diagonally are counted separately.
numpy.ndarray
int32 of (H, W). Labels are consecutive from 1 with no gaps.
>>> import numpy as np
>>> m = np.zeros((6, 9), bool); m[1:4, 1:4] = True; m[1:4, 5:8] = True
>>> int(blob_label(m).max())
