contour op• Data kinds: contour → feature
• Call: fullseye.apply(img, "contour_point_num_xld", a=0.5, b=0.5) (the 2-D model is one image plus two scalar knobs a,b∈[0,1])
• HALCON equivalent: contour_point_num_xld (the HALCON reference is a useful guide to its meaning and parameters)

*The figure is the actual output on a synthetic 128×128 input. Left: input, right: output. Point clouds are drawn as a top-down scatter (brightness = z), 1-D series as a line plot, volumes as the maximum-intensity projection along z, videos as the middle frame, complex images as magnitude; return values that are not pictures are shown as the values themselves.*
*Knob a does not change the output (measured: identical at 0.1 / 0.5 / 0.9).*
*Knob b does not change the output (measured: identical at 0.1 / 0.5 / 0.9).*
Stages (the ops that come before → this op, left to right):
▸ contour_point_num_xld: stages (docs site)
Selects the contour with the most points among a group of XLD contours and returns its vertex count normalized by 500 into [0,1] (saturating at 1.0 for 500 or more points). a and b are unused. Returns 0 if there are no contours.
Unlike HALCON's contour_point_num_xld (an operation that returns the actual number of points contained in an XLD contour as is), this implementation is an approximation that returns not the point count itself but a ratio scaled by 500 points (because of the contract that the feature sort carries values assumed to lie in [0,1]).
