ball op• Data kinds: signal → signal
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.drag_coefficient_sphere(reynolds) -> 'np.ndarray' (to call the implementation directly, import ballistics; ballistics.drag_coefficient_sphere(reynolds) -> 'np.ndarray'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("drag_coefficient_sphere"))
Empirical formula for the drag coefficient of a smooth sphere (Morrison 2013, Re ≲ 1e6): 24/Re + 2.6(Re/5)/(1 + (Re/5)^1.52) + 0.411(Re/263000)^−7.94/(1 + (Re/263000)^−8) + 0.25(Re/1e6)/(1 + Re/1e6). ≈ 0.4–0.5 for a table tennis ball (Re ≈ 1–5 × 10⁴).
