ball op• Data kinds: table × table → table
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.flight_simulate(p0, v0, omega, bp: 'dict', ip: 'dict', t_end: 'float', dt: 'float' = 0.001, table_z: 'float' = 0.0, table_xy=None, max_bounces: 'int' = 100, v_rest: 'float' = 0.001) -> 'dict' (to call the implementation directly, import ballistics; ballistics.flight_simulate(p0, v0, omega, bp: 'dict', ip: 'dict', t_end: 'float', dt: 'float' = 0.001, table_z: 'float' = 0.0, table_xy=None, max_bounces: 'int' = 100, v_rest: 'float' = 0.001) -> 'dict'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("flight_simulate"))
Joins flight and bounces on the table (the plane z = table_z, only within table_xy = (xmin, xmax, ymin, ymax)), locating each contact time within its interval by bisection. Return value {"t", "p", "v", "omega" (N, 3), "contacts": [{"t", "p", "v_in", "v_out", "omega_in", "omega_out", "regime"}], "rest_t"}. The ball has radius r, so contact occurs where the center reaches table_z + r. Bounces go on forever (Zeno), so once |v_n| at contact < v_rest, the ball is set down on the table (from then on z is fixed and horizontal motion continues without friction; rest_t = that time, or None if it never happens).
