raster_wipe_area — DRIVE polish op

• Data kinds: scalar × scalar × scalar × scalar → table

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.raster_wipe_area(radius: 'float', length: 'float', pitch: 'float', n_strokes: 'int', centre=(0.0, 0.0), step=None) -> 'dict' (to call the implementation directly, import polish; polish.raster_wipe_area(radius: 'float', length: 'float', pitch: 'float', n_strokes: 'int', centre=(0.0, 0.0), step=None) -> 'dict'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("raster_wipe_area"))

Usage

Closed form of the area touched by a tool of radius radius when it draws n_strokes parallel strokes of length length (toward +x, stacked toward +y at spacing pitch, lifted and returned after each stroke): (2a + (N − 1) min(s, 2a)) L + N π a² − (N − 1) lens(s). Returns area, rect_area, disc_union_area, lens, overlap_saving (sum of the N strokes − area), path ((M, 2), NaN-separated trajectory; with step, each stroke becomes a point sequence at that step). Raises ValueError: numeric checks, n_strokes < 1, area overflow, more than 1e6 points per stroke.
