spiral_search_points — DRIVE pegsym op

• Data kinds: scalar × scalar × scalar → table

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.spiral_search_points(pitch: 'float', step: 'float', r_max: 'float', centre=(0.0, 0.0)) -> 'dict' (to call the implementation directly, import pegsym; pegsym.spiral_search_points(pitch: 'float', step: 'float', r_max: 'float', centre=(0.0, 0.0)) -> 'dict'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("spiral_search_points"))

Usage

Search points for lateral offset: an Archimedean spiral r = p φ/(2π), sampled every arc length step [m] (from the center) up to radius r_max. Spacing to the adjacent turn = pitch. If c is the radius the chamfer captures, p ≤ 2c and step ≤ 2c cover without gaps (the worst distance of a point between adjacent turns, √((p/2)² + (s/2)²) ≤ c, is a sufficient condition; returned as worst_gap). Returns points (N, 2), worst_gap and n. Raises ValueError: pitch, step or r_max ≤ 0, more than 200,000 points.
