tone_map — DRIVE env op

• Data kinds: any × scalar → any

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.tone_map(radiance, exposure: 'float') (to call the implementation directly, import driveenv; driveenv.tone_map(radiance, exposure: 'float'); from the registry, opsdrive.get("tone_map"))

Usage

Hue-preserving tone compression for an HDR camera: m = per-pixel max channel × exposure, display = luminance × exposure × (1 + m/4)/(1 + m) — linear for m ≪ 1, approaching 1 in bright areas (color ratios = chromaticity unchanged; lamps do not turn white from saturation; assumed: an in-vehicle HDR camera).
