winkler_polish_run — DRIVE polish op

• Data kinds: image2d × scalar × scalar × scalar × scalar × scalar → table

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.winkler_polish_run(z, pressure: 'float', k_w: 'float', k_p: 'float', speed: 'float', duration: 'float', dt=None, n_record: 'int' = 50) -> 'dict' (to call the implementation directly, import polish; polish.winkler_polish_run(z, pressure: 'float', k_w: 'float', k_p: 'float', speed: 'float', duration: 'float', dt=None, n_record: 'int' = 50) -> 'dict'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("winkler_polish_run"))

Usage

Time evolution of the surface height map z when polished by an elastic-foundation (Winkler) pad pressed with mean pressure pressure at relative speed speed. At each step the pad surface height z_t is solved from Σ k_w max(0, z − z_t) = N p̄ (only contacting regions bear pressure), then by the Preston equation z ← z − k_p v k_w max(0, z − z_t) Δt (explicit scheme, c Δt ≤ 0.01, c = k_p k_w v). Returns z (final), t, rms (rms deviation from the mean, no form removal), mean and contact (contact fraction) at n_record points, rate_full_contact = c (while the whole surface is in contact, rms decays as exp(−c t) — derived; this function does not use it), dt, steps. Raises ValueError: z checks, numeric checks, c Δt > 0.01.
