compare op• Data kinds: pairs × pairs → table
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.profile_deviation(measured, reference, n=200, align='chord', oversample=8) (to call the implementation directly, import profileops; profileops.profile_deviation(measured, reference, n=200, align='chord', oversample=8); from the registry, opsprofile.get("profile_deviation"))
The signed deviation along the normal from the design shape. Returns a dict.
Positive means "the thick side (outward)", negative "the thin side". The outward normal of the design contour is the reference.
Args:
measured / reference: (N, 2) closed contours.
n: number of equal-arc-length points used for the comparison (both are resampled).
align: ALIGN_MODES.
oversample: how many times denser than the reference the other side is resampled (default 8).
Because the polyline cuts the arc, the deviation gets a floor, so resample the other side finely.
Returns:
dict: points (points on the reference side, (n, 2)), deviation ((n,)),
max / min / rms / mean, align.
