typed op• Data kinds: video → image
• Call: fullseye.apply(img, "tb_temporal_band_power", a=0.5, b=0.5) (the 2-D model is one image plus two scalar knobs a,b∈[0,1])

*The figure is the actual output on a synthetic 128×128 input. Left: input, right: output. Point clouds are drawn as a top-down scatter (brightness = z), 1-D series as a line plot, volumes as the maximum-intensity projection along z, videos as the middle frame, complex images as magnitude; return values that are not pictures are shown as the values themselves.*
*The output is shown in a viridis-like pseudo-colour (dark purple = low, yellow = high) so that a field of quantities — distance, phase, orientation, depth — can be read.*
Sweeping knob a (0.1 / 0.5 / 0.9, the other knob at its default):

Per-pixel mean-square power inside a temporal band -> (H, W) map.
"Where in the frame is something moving at this frequency?" — a resonance map. The value at a pixel is the mean over time of the squared band-passed signal, so a pure sinusoid of amplitude a inside the band reads exactly a^2/2 (Parseval; measured relative error 3.08e-16 for a = 0.3).
This is an *analysis map*, not a displayable image: it is a power and is not bounded by 1. Pixels with no in-band content read 0.
Typed bridge of the motionmag op temporal_band_power into the 2-D evolution registry: the same implementation, called under the op(v, a, b) convention. a picks the centre of the pass-band among the clip's own non-DC DFT bins (0 = the lowest bin, 1 = the Nyquist bin) and b its half-width (0 = one bin, 1 = half the bins on each side). The band edges sit half a bin outside the chosen bins (frame rate fixed at 32 fps), so the band holds at least one bin for any clip of two or more frames. (Until 2026-10-07 the band was a fixed 3-5 Hz, which holds no bin for a 12-frame clip, so every call was refused.)

The program below has been verified to run (same input as the figure). In Studio's help this block becomes buttons that load and run it on the spot.

The examples below call the underlying ledger op temporal_band_power. This bridge op is the same implementation adapted to the fn(v, a, b) convention, so the behaviour carries over unchanged (only the call form differs).
