cube op• Data kinds: video → image2d
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.video_cube_cut(video, plane: 'str' = 'xt', position: 'float' = 0.5) -> 'np.ndarray' (to call the implementation directly, import videocube; videocube.video_cube_cut(video, plane: 'str' = 'xt', position: 'float' = 0.5) -> 'np.ndarray'; from the registry, opsvideocube.get("video_cube_cut"))
One cross-section of the cube (image2d). "xt" = slit scan of row position (T, W), "yt" = (T, H) of a column, "xy" = the frame at time position (H, W). position is a fraction in [0, 1] (what fraction along the rows, columns or time).
In an x–t section, an object moving right becomes a streak slanting down to the right and a stationary object a vertical band -- velocity can be read as slope.
>>> streak = video_cube_cut(clip, "xt", position=0.4) # record of what crossed the row at the 4/10 mark
