vol_label_slice_rgb — VOLCOLOR slice op

• Data kinds: rgbvolume → rgbimage

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.vol_label_slice_rgb(rgbvol, index: 'int', axis='z') (to call the implementation directly, import volcolor; volcolor.vol_label_slice_rgb(rgbvol, index: 'int', axis='z'); from the registry, opsvolcolor.get("vol_label_slice_rgb"))

Usage

Take one RGB cross-section out of a coloured volume (axial / coronal / sagittal).

*axis* is "z"/"axial"/0 (returns (H, W, 3)), "y"/"coronal"/1 ((D, W, 3)), "x"/"sagittal"/2 ((D, H, 3)). The 2 returned axes differ per axis -- natural, since 1 axis is removed from (D, H, W), but a caller expecting (H, W) gets a picture with rows and columns swapped, without an exception. The 3 shapes are pinned by tests/test_volcolor.py::test_slice_axes_shapes_and_content.

*index* must be non-negative. Silently accepting -1 as "the last slice" would let an out-of-range request pass as the last slice (a figure whose cut position is off by 1 does not look "broken" to either a machine or an eye).

Returns a contiguous float64 (..., 3) copy. Raises ValueError for a bad volume, an unknown *axis*, or an out-of-range / negative *index*.

Ops the type connects to (they accept rgbimage as input)
