vx_table_lookup — VX pixel op

• Data kinds: image2d × signal → image2d

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.vx_table_lookup(image, table, *, offset=0) (to call the implementation directly, import vxcore; vxcore.vx_table_lookup(image, table, *, offset=0); from the registry, opsvx.get("vx_table_lookup"))

Usage

Table lookup (Section 3.47): output = table[pixel value + offset] (REQ-0421). Accepts U8 and S16 (REQ-0422). The output dtype is the table's dtype.

*offset*: an S16 table puts 0 in the middle so that negative pixel values can be looked up (VX_LUT_OFFSET, typically 32768). 0 for U8. ★ If any pixel looks up outside the table, it stops (it does not silently clamp to the edge).

Raises ValueError: the image is not a 2-D U8/S16 / the table is not 1-D, or empty / some pixel looks up outside the table.

• Sample-data catalog (download URLs / licences) — 2-D uses skimage.data (BSD/public domain) plus synthetic images; 3-D lists download URLs for real data sources (Stanford, PDS, …).

• The canonical algorithm (author, year) and its uses are named in the family usage guide above.
