granular op• Data kinds: scalar × scalar × scalar × scalar × scalar × scalar → table
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.discharge_synth(D0: 'float', d: 'float', bulk_density: 'float', phi_deg: 'float', pitch: 'float', duration: 'float', n_frames: 'int' = 8, grid: 'int' = 256, C: 'float' = 0.58, k: 'float' = 1.4, noise: 'float' = 0.0, seed: 'int | None' = None) -> 'dict' (to call the implementation directly, import granular; granular.discharge_synth(D0: 'float', d: 'float', bulk_density: 'float', phi_deg: 'float', pitch: 'float', duration: 'float', n_frames: 'int' = 8, grid: 'int' = 256, C: 'float' = 0.58, k: 'float' = 1.4, noise: 'float' = 0.0, seed: 'int | None' = None) -> 'dict'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("discharge_synth"))
Synthesizes a sequence of heightmaps in which powder falling from a circular orifice D0 at the Beverloo rate piles up below into a cone with angle of repose φ.
V(t) = W t / ρ_b, R(t) = (3 V / (π tan φ))^{1/3}. Returns: frames (n_frames frames, (grid, grid) [m]), times [s], W (true rate [kg/s]), masses (sequence of true masses). noise = σ [m] of Gaussian noise added to the height map (a stand-in for range-sensor noise; since the ground also fluctuates, the volume is clipped at 0 and biased —— that bias is measured by the gate). If the pile extends beyond the grid, ValueError (the volume is not silently truncated).
• Sample-data catalog (download URLs / licences) — 2-D uses skimage.data (BSD/public domain) plus synthetic images; 3-D lists download URLs for real data sources (Stanford, PDS, …).
• Operator provenance and references — the sources of the research/methods this op family came from.
• The canonical algorithm (author, year) and its uses are named in the family usage guide above.
