mirror_image_side — DRIVE pass op

• Data kinds: points → table

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.mirror_image_side(eye_xy, mirror_center_xy, mirror_normal_xy, points, *, heading, velocities=None) -> 'Dict[str, object]' (to call the implementation directly, import drivepass; drivepass.mirror_image_side(eye_xy, mirror_center_xy, mirror_normal_xy, points, *, heading, velocities=None) -> 'Dict[str, object]'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("mirror_image_side"))

Usage

Whether a point seen in a curve mirror appears to the left or right of the mirror center, and which way it appears to move (flat-mirror closed form). Scenarios S064, S130.

The left/right orientation is the same even for a convex mirror (checked against ray tracing in the gate; a convex surface only shrinks the angles).

2-D (x, y) seen from above. Image P' = P − 2((P − M)·n)n (2-D version of drivedecide.mirror_reflection_matrix). image_offset = angle of the image relative to the direction from the eye to the mirror centre (+ = left). real_side = whether the object is to the left (+1) or right (−1) relative to heading (the driver's forward). If velocities is given: image_motion = angular speed of the image, direct_motion = angular speed when the object is viewed directly from the eye (occlusion is ignored), virtual_eye_motion = angular speed seen from the virtual eye E' (= −image_motion is an identity), reversed = whether the image motion and the direct motion are in opposite directions.

• Sample-data catalog (download URLs / licences) — 2-D uses skimage.data (BSD/public domain) plus synthetic images; 3-D lists download URLs for real data sources (Stanford, PDS, …).
