particle_size_dx — DRIVE grind op

• Data kinds: table × scalar → scalar

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.particle_size_dx(psd: 'dict', q: 'float' = 50.0, convention: 'str' = 'log_edges') -> 'float' (to call the implementation directly, import grind; grind.particle_size_dx(psd: 'dict', q: 'float' = 50.0, convention: 'str' = 'log_edges') -> 'float'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("particle_size_dx"))

Usage

Diameter Dq [µm] at cumulative volume q % (D10 / D50 / D90 are q = 10 / 50 / 90).

convention:

• "log_edges" (default, matches Dx (50) in the instrument header): log(diameter) is linearly interpolated against the cumulative value at edge i.

• "linear_edges": the diameter itself is linearly interpolated against the cumulative values at the edges (assumes the volume within a bin is uniform in diameter).

• "lower_cumsum": the training-stage definition in the public analysis code, np.interp(q/100, cumsum(v), edges) (places the cumulative value at the lower edge of the bin). It comes out one bin smaller (−11.9 % on this instrument). It is reproduced only for comparison and is not recommended.

References (sample data, literature)

• Sample-data catalog (download URLs / licences) — 2-D uses skimage.data (BSD/public domain) plus synthetic images; 3-D lists download URLs for real data sources (Stanford, PDS, …).

• Operator provenance and references — the sources of the research/methods this op family came from.

• The canonical algorithm (author, year) and its uses are named in the family usage guide above.
