priority_rule — DRIVE crossing op

• Data kinds: table → table

• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.priority_rule(own, cross, *, signalised: 'bool' = False, wide_ratio: 'float' = 1.5) -> 'Dict[str, object]' (to call the implementation directly, import drivecrossing; drivecrossing.priority_rule(own, cross, *, signalised: 'bool' = False, wide_ratio: 'float' = 1.5) -> 'Dict[str, object]'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("priority_rule"))

Usage

At an intersection without traffic control, whether the own vehicle (own) yields to a vehicle on the crossing road (cross) (Art. 36(1)-(3)).

own, cross = {"width": road width [m], "priority_sign": priority-road sign, "centre_line": centre line / vehicle lanes continuing into the intersection}. Priority road = sign or centre line (the parenthetical in Article 36(2) of the Road Traffic Act (Japan)). Clearly wider = width ratio ≥ wide_ratio (assumption).

Return value: yield_to ∈ {"cross" (yield to all vehicles on the crossing road, Art. 36(2)), "left" (yield to vehicles coming from the left, Art. 36(1)), "none" (the other party yields)}, must_slow (slow down per Art. 36(3)), own_priority / cross_priority / cross_clearly_wider / own_clearly_wider, article. Traffic control present (signals) raises ValueError (follow the signals).
