scoop op• Data kinds: scalar × scalar → table
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.spoon_bowl_volume(a: 'float', h: 'float', *, fill_depth: 'float | None' = None, phi_deg: 'float | None' = None) -> 'dict' (to call the implementation directly, import scoop; scoop.spoon_bowl_volume(a: 'float', h: 'float', *, fill_depth: 'float | None' = None, phi_deg: 'float | None' = None) -> 'dict'; from the registry, opsdrive.get("spoon_bowl_volume"))
Closed form for a spherical-cap bowl (rim radius a, depth h) — level, partially filled and heaped.
Sphere radius R = (a² + h²) / (2h), levelled (struck) volume V_struck = π h (3a² + h²) / 6. Given fill_depth = y, the volume filled flat from the bottom up to y is V_fill = π y² (3R − y) / 3 (an identity that matches y = h at V_struck). Given phi_deg, a cone with angle of repose φ on the rim as base (upper bound of a heaped scoop) V_heap = (π/3) a³ tan φ, height a tan φ, V_heaped = V_struck + V_heap, and the heaped / struck ratio.
Returns: R, V_struck, V_fill (when given), V_heap / H_heap / V_heaped / heaped_ratio (when φ is given). Raises ValueError: a or h ≤ 0, h > a (a bowl deeper than a hemisphere is not widest at the rim, which breaks the premise of scoop_volume_read, which only looks from the side upward), fill_depth outside (0, h], φ outside (0, 90).
