Membrane Private Use License

0. The grant. Permission is granted, without fee, to any person who
   obtains a copy of this software and its documentation ("the software")
   to use, copy, run, and modify the software privately: for themselves,
   for their household, and on their own machines and home systems —
   including a private home-automation install and any seats or machines
   the person runs for their own purposes.

1. What counts as private use. Private use includes personal, household,
   hobby, educational, and research use, and evaluation or internal
   testing within a workplace, so long as the software is not used in
   the operation of a paid or revenue-generating product, service, or
   offering. A home is private use. A paid hosted product built on the
   software is not.

2. What the grant does not include. Without separate written permission
   from the author, you may not:
   - use the software in the operation of any commercial or
     revenue-generating product, service, or offering;
   - charge money (directly or bundled) for the software or for access
     to it;
   - distribute copies of the software — original or modified — or make
     it available to others as a download, bundle, or appliance;
   - offer the software, or a service built on it, to others.
   The author's own distribution of the software is unaffected by this
   section: the copyright holder's own rights are not limited by this
   license.

3. What you keep. You own your modifications. You may run your modified
   copy privately for as long as you like, and you are encouraged to
   send changes, bug reports, and fixes back to the author (issues and
   pull requests in the software's repository).

4. Other rights. The author may grant additional rights — commercial
   use, distribution, embedding — to anyone, case by case. Ask.

5. Notice. Keep this license and the copyright notice with any copy of
   the software, and inside any file where the original notice stood.

6. Use at your own risk; the usual disclaimers. You accept the software
   AS IS, AT YOUR OWN RISK, WITH ALL ITS DEFECTS. THE AUTHOR DOES NOT
   REPRESENT, AND EXTENDS NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
   INCLUDING — WITHOUT LIMITING THAT — THE WARRANTIES OF
   MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SAFETY, ACCURACY,
   QUIET ENJOYMENT AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. The software runs on your
   machines, reads what you point it at, and acts where you let it act;
   it may be wrong, it may crash, it may misbehave, and it may cause
   damage — to your data, your systems, your devices, your home, and
   anything connected to them, whether or not the author ever saw the
   possibility. YOU CHOOSE TO RUN IT; WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU RUN IT IS
   YOURS. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IN NO
   EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR OR COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE for any claim,
   damages, loss of data, loss of profit, or other loss of any kind —
   direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential —
   arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or its use,
   EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE, AND EVEN IF A
   REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. If a law forces a higher duty
   on the author than this section allows, the author's total liability
   under it is limited to the least amount that law permits, and in no
   event to more than the least amount you paid for the software —
   which is zero.
