init only opens the right next step. when you finish setup, thinking opens to the lane you picked. save keys, join scout, or turn on local there.

your original media (raw audio and screencast files)

by default, your journal keeps your original media so you can access it again later. you can also expire originals after a number of days, or delete them as soon as they're processed. recording-consent laws may apply in your jurisdiction.
