PyCForge 1.3.1 — workspace UI corrections
14 October 2026

1. Closing the final split Python document now hides the second pane and
clears the split checkmark. Creating or opening a document restores normal
split controls. Remaining tabs and canceled unsaved closes keep their views.
2. The Find command, including the magnifying-glass toolbar button, now toggles
the Find and Replace bar. Closing cancels pending searches, clears search
highlights, retains the query/replacement text, and restores focus to the
source, secondary source, or C editor that owned the search.
3. Mouse clicks on title controls preserve content focus and clear transient
pressed/hover state before minimize/maximize/restore. Keyboard Tab access,
Space activation, and keyboard-focus highlighting remain available.
4. Show Generated C and Conversion Details retain a visible hover gradient
when checked. Their active-view indicator remains visible on hover.
5. Function-fold arrows remain visible during typing and incomplete input.
Up to 128 tracked header cursors follow inserted lines in both split views.
Removed headers and replacement documents retire their display markers.
These markers only paint arrows: actual folding still requires current
syntax-checked ranges. Gutter painting and typing add no source parsing.

The complete source remains version 1.3.1. This update changes eight existing
IDE package files; no application files are added or removed. Conversion
engines, PCFC11 integration, dependencies, README, and Help remain unchanged.

Focused verification: 106 tests and 117 subtests passed on Linux using
PySide6's offscreen Qt backend. Coverage includes last-tab close/reopen,
Find/Replace and focus in all editor panes, pending-search cancellation,
window mouse and keyboard controls, rendered checked/unchecked hover states,
startup/dialog focus, fold-arrow rendering during character edits and syntax
errors, inserted/removed headers, shared buffers, folding, and editor resource
lifecycle. The full regression suite was not rerun. Native Windows acceptance
remains separate from this Linux verification.

Evidence: evidence/split_view_1_3_1/ui-final.log and ui-final.xml.
