MFC API Club

Seems I have found this sub around 11-15y too late. I've been wondering if there was any available (and documented) API for MFC as I have already built an open-source application which is meant to be additive to the MFC experience, both in its ability to work with one's collection outside of MFC (alternative/fast/faceted sorting/search, etc.) for personal use and have plans to enrich it further with other items MFC doesn't catalog (for example, unlicensed resins) for a user to have one cohesive place in which they can have all their figure/statue collectibles, so they can answer questions like how many total figures and statues do I have, how many of them are statues, how many of them are unlicensed, which are in my collection but not in MFC, etc.

If there is no available API nor plans for one, I would certainly be interested in helping to create/build a new versioned one for MFC, should that also be an option.
