Is it possible to read the body text to an “archived” post?
I’m trying to figure out something simple (where is a sweater from) but the answer is literally unable to be viewed as far as I can tell lol
I tried looking at the post on the website (albeit the mobile site) and the app and it just says “Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast.” with seemingly no way at all to see the original text of the post, only the title and comments.
This is very frustrating and honestly, incredibly stupid. What’s the point of “archiving” a post if you’re unable to see the main part of it anymore??

How do I view the body text of this post from the Reddit app?
Comments Section
Here’s another example. I literally am unable to see any text from this post other than the title and the comments. Makes no sense to lose the main information when “archiving” no?

As stated already, archiving does not delete anything. There was never body text in the post linked above. They just asked a question, and people in the comments wrote answers.
Damn, what’re the odds both the posts I’ve seen had no text lol I’ll try to find one that does to confirm. Thanks.
There is no body text. The photo is the post. And the answer to the question is viewable, as it's the part that's circled in red in the picture.
Archiving a post doesn't delete anything. It just means you can no longer add new comments to it.
