# Environment files — the same entries `evnx init` writes.
# See src/core/gitignore.rs, ENV_ENTRIES.
#
# ⚠️ This was `.env`, `.env.local`, `.env.*.local` — the Next.js convention,
# which leaves `.env.production`, `.env.staging`, `.env.test` and anything else
# a project invents committable. `evnx init` stopped writing that in v0.5.0 for
# exactly that reason, and the tool's own repository kept it: that is how
# `.env.backup` came to be committed here, and shipped to crates.io in 0.5.0,
# 0.5.1 and 0.5.2.

# An orphaned prototype of the `sync --template-config` placeholder map, added
# with sync in #5 and never read since — nothing in src/ looks in `.envx/`.
# Note the spelling: `.envx`, not the real `.evnx.toml`, which is probably why it
# went unnoticed. `.env*` above would cover it, but the reason is different and
# worth stating.

# Local dependency overrides (e.g. [patch.crates-io] pointing at a sibling
# checkout of evnx-crypto). Committing one breaks every build without that
# sibling present, CI included — Cargo always prefers a path and never falls
# back to the registry. See CLAUDE.md, "Cross-Repo Dependency".
