Version

Check for updates and upgrade the server in place.

Deployment

How the optional tray app (mcc-desktop) and the headless server (mcc-server) run on this machine. These write ~/.mcc/desktop.json; Start at Login is registered with your OS as soon as you change it here, and the box shows what this machine actually carries.

With Tray Enabled off, Start at Login is not applied at the next launch -- an invisible tray must not relaunch at login.

With Close to Tray on (the default), closing the desktop window hides it and leaves the tray and the server running; reopen it from the tray, and use Quit there to stop the app. Turn it off to make the window's close button end the app.

Other servers on this machine

Every other mcc-server launch this machine can see, from the process table, the socket table and the session rows in the request log. Nothing here is stopped automatically, with one exception you decided on (7.72.0): a server that owns no listening socket and whose own record in this configuration folder names this server's port is an old server of this port, and a starting server stops it by pid after giving it time to exit by itself, with a line in the server log. Any other server is only ever stopped by pid, by you, after you have been shown what it is. To keep a second server on purpose, give it its own port or configuration folder.

Token optimizer

Patch each coding agent with the RTK token optimizer. These write ~/.mcc/rtk.json and apply immediately.
