How it was built
----------------
Foxray is written from scratch (clean room) against public descriptions of
the protocol the Sentry SDKs speak:

- Sentry's SDK developer documentation (develop.sentry.dev): envelopes and
their item types, the event payload, the X-Sentry-Auth header and DSN
format, the X-Sentry-Rate-Limits header, and cron check-ins.
- The sentry-python SDK (MIT License, Copyright (c) 2018 Functional Software,
Inc.), read as a reference for what it actually sends (compression, auth
header, check-in and monitor_config fields, how it parses rate-limit
headers) and used, unmodified, in Foxray's tests to prove compatibility.
No SDK code is included in Foxray.

No code from Sentry's server (getsentry/sentry) or Relay (getsentry/relay),
which are under the Functional Source License, was read or used.

GlitchTip (MIT) was not used as a source: no GlitchTip code was read,
included or adapted. The comparison in the README is a short summary of the
project as publicly described, not derived from its code.

Optional third-party packages, not bundled
------------------------------------------
- Django (BSD-3-Clause), for the Django app.
- psycopg (LGPL-3.0), for Postgres with the standalone server.
- Brotli (MIT), to decode brotli-compressed envelopes.
- sentry-sdk (MIT), for capturing a Django app's own errors in-process.
