================================================================================

This project incorporates and extends GPL-licensed code and research from Kindle annotation parsing algorithms by John Howell (see https://github.com/K-R-D-S/KRDS). The PDF coordinate system conversion methods and Amazon Kindle data format analysis were established by reverse engineering by the project maintainer (Marcin Miłkowski).

As this project builds upon GPL-licensed components, it is released under the GNU General Public License v3 to comply with GPL requirements.

The project provides functionality to extract Kindle annotations from PDF files (stored in .pds files) and accurately place them in PDF documents using precise coordinate system conversion algorithms.
