Every AI coding tool keeps its conversations somewhere on your computer. This is where, per operating system, and which files NetCodex imports. After installing, netcodex where shows the folders that exist on your machine, and the local desk (netcodex ui) opens them for you.
Transcripts are the same Claude Code JSONL files under ~/.claude/projects (upload those); the desktop folder only adds titles. Local sources > Claude Code reads both.
NETCODEX_CLAUDE_AI_EXPORT: Export ZIP, conversations.json or folder (several separated by the OS path separator).
What to import
data-*.zipconversations.json
claude.ai chats are not stored on your computer. In claude.ai open Settings > Privacy > Export data; you get an email with a download link. Save the data-*.zip (or the extracted folder with conversations.json) in Downloads, or point NETCODEX_CLAUDE_AI_EXPORT at it, then pick claude.ai in Local sources or run `netcodex export --source claude-ai`.
Import via: Local sources / CLI
Also covers chats from the Claude desktop and mobile apps, which sync to claude.ai.
Pick the tool in Local sources (the desk reads it in place), or run `netcodex export --source gemini-cli`.
Import via: Local sources / CLI
Continue
supported
Windows location
%USERPROFILE%\.continue\sessions\*.json
What to import
<session>.json
Pick the tool in Local sources (the desk reads it in place), or run `netcodex export --source continue`.

Aider
supported
Windows location
<repo>\.aider.chat.history.md
NETCODEX_AIDER_PATHS: Folders (or history files) to scan, separated by the OS path separator.
What to import
.aider.chat.history.md
Aider writes the history inside each repository. NetCodex scans your home folder (3 levels deep) or the folders in NETCODEX_AIDER_PATHS; then pick Aider in Local sources.
