# Qiongli 2.0.0-beta.3

Native CLI for macOS Apple Silicon, Windows x64, and Linux x64 (glibc 2.35+).
Includes embedded research content and Lite/Full MCP. No App is required.
The Host owns models and credentials. No executable download runs at install time.
Run the newly installed command by its full path if another version is on PATH.
Run `qiongli setup` to choose a preferred installation and
review manual archive/uninstall guidance. Nothing is deleted or moved, and PATH,
Host settings and research data stay unchanged. Empty-argument launches show help.
Use `qiongli project`, `qiongli config`, and `qiongli install` for common queries.
`qiongli help project create` shows focused help; `qiongli help all` shows every command.
Terminal queries show readable summaries; redirected output retains its original
format. Use `--json` explicitly for scripts or `--text` for readable redirected output.
Existing command forms, approvals and MCP protocols remain supported.
Scripts and MCP never prompt. For review during npm install:

```sh
npm install -g qiongli@next --allow-scripts=qiongli --foreground-scripts
```

The first flag explicitly allows Qiongli's script for this invocation without
changing saved npm settings; the second connects it to the terminal. Both stdin
and stdout must be terminals. Recent npm versions warn about unreviewed scripts;
the warning alone does not mean installation failed or scripts were blocked.
Strict script policy can turn that warning into an error. See
[npm's script settings](https://docs.npmjs.com/cli/v11/commands/npm-install/#allow-scripts).
Skipping scripts with `--ignore-scripts` does not affect the CLI. After installation,
run the review directly without reinstalling. pip and Cargo users also run it
after installation. `install inventory --paths exact` lists visible CLI entries;
`doctor` includes a redacted overview.
Research writes retain preview, explicit approval and revision checks.
Managed Plugin/Skill activation, automatic migration and signed self-update still
require their existing product authority; a registry install does not grant it.
Use your package manager to pin, upgrade or remove this prerelease; preserve data
and backups. Full 1.x replacement and other CPU architectures are not claimed.
