Frequency Band¶
A Frequency Band defines a standard range used to organize the Frequency catalog and validate Frequency Sets. Values in TRAX use MHz.
| Band | Range in MHz |
|---|---|
| VHF | 30–300 |
| UHF | 300–1,000 |
| L | 1,000–2,000 |
| S | 2,000–4,000 |
| C | 4,000–8,000 |
| X | 8,000–12,000 |
| Ku | 12,000–18,000 |
| Ka | 26,500–40,000 |
TRAX seeds these bands during migration. When creating or editing a band, select one of these names; TRAX supplies its standard boundaries. Each name can exist only once. Use the description to add local notes.
Band utilization compares catalog frequencies with values assigned to Frequency Sets in Active, Planned, or Maintenance status. These catalog ranges do not represent permission to transmit; use the frequencies assigned for your operation.
