# Phsyical Acoustics

## Python Package Name: batts_physical_acoustics

This package is a collection of Python code for the purpose of providing access to models of acoustic losses expected due to movement through the atmosphere.

Three models are represented in this package:
- Atmospheric absorption
- Excess ground attenuation (ground reflection)
- Spherical spreading (6 dB loss per doubling of propagation distance.)

This code cleared for public release, Distribution A on 12 May 2026 with control number AFRL-2026-1039.
