RASIKA DAIRY SUBSCRIPTION BOX: THE INSULATED BOX AND ITS LID

For the morning milk and paneer subscription deliveries we make for Rasika Dairy in Kothrud and Karve Nagar.

WHAT THE BOX IS FOR
The box is left on the subscriber's doorstep before 07:00 and collected empty the next morning. It only has to keep milk cold for about three hours, so it is much lighter than a meal-kit box.

THE BOX
Each box is moulded expanded polystyrene, white, with a push-on lid. Walls, base and lid are 15 mm thick, at a density of 15 kg per cubic metre. The box carries Rasika's logo moulded into the lid.

CHECKING AT THE DEPOT
Boxes are checked every morning at loading. A box with a crack, a missing corner or a loose lid is set aside and returned to the moulder at the end of the month. The eps moulder replaces rejected boxes without charge.

CLEANING
Returned boxes are wiped inside and out with a food-safe sanitiser and air-dried before reuse. A box that smells of sour milk is not reused.

COUNTING
The depot counts boxes out and back every day. Subscribers who keep a box are reminded by Rasika's customer team, not by the delivery boy.

STORAGE
Clean boxes are stacked lid-on, ten high, on the racks by the loading door. Boxes are never stacked on the floor or in the sun.
